Description

The flag of the Princess Mother Srinagarindra (1900-1995) is red with her royal cypher in white. The cypher makes reference to her given name, Sangwan. The basic flag can be seen at this 2017 ceremony honoring her memory.

Flag abandoned 1995

I recently brought back this flag from Thailand. It is the Queen Mother's flag.

Ya'ara Gutterman, 21 Sep 2001

The personal standard of H.R.H. Princess Srinakharinthara — the King's mother — is a white flag with her emblem.

Nozomi Kariyasu, 20 Sep 2002

The light brown shade in my GIF intends to be metallic gold — the flag photographed by Ya'ara Gutterman did not show dark yellow (usual vexillological replacement for heraldical gold) but metallic gold.

Santiago Dotor, 28 May 2003

She was known locally as "Princess Mother". Technically both HRH Princess Srinakharinthara (1900-1995) and Britain"s H.M. Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mum should be called Dowagers, although the British used the style/term "Queen Mother", while the Thai used the style/term "Princess Mother".
